Vivian Chigozie-Nmonwu is a professional whose passion, drive and long term commitment is that of partnering with her clients to ensure the continuous growth of their businesses and the complete satisfaction of all the key stakeholders. She is a member of ICAN, CITN, and ACCA and has several certifications from Harvard Business Publishing on taxation, leadership and business management.

Her years of experience includes being the tax champion for a multinational firm's ‘Working as One’ cross functional team; a group consisting of individual champions from each of the firm’s service functions, charged with: Identification of cross functional selling opportunities, cross pollination of ideas across the various industries, new services offering identification and product / solution development.

She is a strong believer in collaborating with clients and all stakeholders, disruptive and ground breaking innovations, entrepreneurship, institution building and wealth creation.

Her experience in taxation covers transfer pricing, direct and indirect tax compliance and advisory services, expatriates and personal income tax services, tax due diligence, tax optimal business structuring, processing of tax holiday incentives etc. rendered to clients in virtually all industries.

In her previous role, prior to founding Vi-M, she pioneered the tax solutions for the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) based financial statements during its implementation stage in Nigeria. While in this role, she was seconded to the firm’s IFRS Faculty where she worked with colleagues under the tutelage of the UK Centre of Excellence.  She also received IFRS tax accounting training at Prague, Czech Republic. She was part of the team assigned to pioneer and grow the firm's transfer pricing (TP) function. She received her training from TP experts in South Africa, India and Kenya and has rendered transfer pricing services to different companies across several industries.

She has written many articles and publications in both local and international journals. She is currently in charge of running the weekly 'Tax Discourse' (tax technical) publications, in the Guardian Newspaper, every Thursday, in partnership with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). In prior years, she has also participated in organizing and rendering tax/ IFRS training to both Lagos Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) and FIRS officials. She has organized and been invited to make presentations at many tax seminars or training sessions at clients' offices, public places and on radio.

She championed the development of the first mobile app compilation of Nigerian tax laws/ Regulations, known as 'Tax law Book' and the first 'Tax Assist' website (free PAYE/Pension/payroll processor, WHT and VAT calculator web application- for use by taxpayers with little/no knowledge of tax and little finance to afford professional help.

She also has the passion for reshaping employee performance appraisal systems to achieve greater employee satisfaction and highly motivated work environment where the employees could give of their personal best. She is deeply involved in the recruitment and headhunting processes as well as mentorship programs for younger professional colleagues.
